The Merry Mix Cake Mixing Ceremony is one of the most-anticipated events at NIPS. For this year’s celebration, the theme was Christmas with the entire hall decorated in red, white and green, with delicious food, leaving a lasting impression on everyone. Our carol team added a cherry on top with their lively Christmas songs filling the air, spreading holiday throughout the ceremony. The event started at noon with a warm welcome from NIPS students greeting our guests with smiles to make them feel comfortable and relaxed.

We received many guests from Kolkata, including some prominent figures, escorted into the beautifully decorated banquet hall. Once all the guests had arrived, we jumped into our main event—”The Cake-Mixing Ceremony.” It’s a long-held Christmas tradition at NIPS that symbolises the beginning of the holiday season. Our directors and guests took the centre of the stage to mix dried fruits, nuts, and spices with aromatics. After the cake mixing, we treated our guests to lavish High Tea that brought a great opportunity for everyone to mingle, exchange stories, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. We had a special appearance, Santa Claus handing out chocolates and candies and posing for photos with guests, making the program lively and joyous. The event was a true celebration of Christmas, with laughter, warmth, and good food creating an unforgettable experience for all.
