The campus of NIPS Institute of Hotel Management Shillong became lively once again, arranging the welcome event for the new batch of students. Every year, we hold an event to welcome our freshers and make them feel at ease. We understand that being introduced to a new environment can be challenging for many students and first-day jitters can be nerve-wracking. Our orientation day ceremony creates a warm atmosphere allowing the newcomers to explore the campus ambience and facilities.

There were a few interactive team-building exercises and informal meet-and-greet sessions as a part of the event to let students loosen up and get to know each other and the faculty. The hospitality management sector prioritizes collaboration and social interaction, and we have tried to incorporate these practices since the first day. The event included group challenges and exercises to promote their social interaction and teamwork. We’re so grateful to Mr Pradyut Saha, Chef Afaque, and Mrs Amanda Marbaniang from Courtyard by Marriott Shillong for making their appearance at the event. Their inspiring speeches boost students’ motivation and learn the depth of hospitality and management and the future aspects. NIPS orientation day at Shillong wrapped up successfully with our students and staff spending a wonderful time in an energetic environment.
