B.Sc. in Hospitality Management and Hotel Administration course at NIPS focuses on both practical and managerial aspects of the global hospitality industry. The curriculum is recognized and accredited by MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal). Our 4-year-long course is specially tailored to academic knowledge and soft skills development to excel in various sectors, including international hotel chains, small businesses, luxury cruises, airlines, and more. The program involves technology and sustainability practices to assist students in handling dynamic hospitality organizations. Students will gain insights into key post-pandemic trends, including data analysis and artificial intelligence, to deliver top-notch customer experiences for business growth.
This course balances theory with hands-on learning, offering technology-based training in marketing, the food and beverage industry, housekeeping, and more. These skills make graduates highly employable in the global hospitality industry. NIPS has a strong reputation for producing professional hospitality graduates with excellent employability. The first semester includes Foundations of Food Production and Foundations of Front Office.
Students are to pursue Principles of Management as a minor subject.
Students can choose any subject as a Generic Elective from GE Basket.
The first semester focuses on improving English & Professional Communication as AEC.
The course revolves around Life Skills & Personality Development.
NIPS offers a pool of VAC including, Yoga, Sports, Health & Wellness for first years.
Include Foundation of Food & Beverage and Foundation of Housekeeping.
Students can pick any subject as a minor subject listed in the Minor Basket.
Candidates are free to choose any subject from GE Basket.
The course involves Modern Indian Languages and Literature.
The program is offered to help students develop IT Skills.
The curriculum introduces students to Critical Thinking, NSS, Mental Health, and Environmental Studies.
Food Production Operations & Housekeeping Operations are major subjects for 3rd semester.
2nd years can select any minor subject & GE listed in the minor and GE baskets, respectively.
AECC explores The Constitution, Human Rights and Law.
Students are required to take classes on “Understanding basics of Cyber Security.”
The majors for SEM 4 are F&B Service Operations, Front Office Operations and Hotel Operations Management.
Students are free to pick any subject of their choice as a minor.
Society Culture and Human Behavior is a compulsory course for all students in SEM 4.
5th sem major courses specializing in Advance Food Production Management, Advance F&B Service, and Advance Accommodation Operations.
Students can pick any subject as a minor subject, listed in the Minor Basket.
SEC involves an Industrial Training program that starts after 4th semester during the sem break and will be completed within 5th semester.
The majors include, Food & Beverage Operations (Industry Exposure), Accommodation Operations (Industry Exposure), and Allied Area of Hotel Operations (Industry Exposure).
Minor subjects are selected on student preference from the minor basket.
The entire seventh-semester major program involves Human Resource Management Entrepreneurship: theory & practices.
Students can decide whichever subject they want, listed in the minor basket.
Final year candidates study Research Methodology/ F&B Management and Field study/ Strategic Management in their 8th sem.
Students are required to work on a research project.

The Catering Sales Manager brings in, processes and achieves revenue goals with a priority area in catering by actively selling and up-selling each business opportunity.
The chief of the Bar operations looks after the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
A Club Manager plays a supervisory role and ensures entire operations of a club are running well. He is usually tasked with leading a team, and ensuring members are happy with club services.

A food and beverage manager is head of this department and responsible for the operations of a entire restaurants of a hotel.

The Heritage Managers ensure to upkeep of the tradition of Heritage hotels which were the homes of the royalty, their magnificence of the architecture, expansive courtyard, ornamented balconies, capacious rooms and suites, rich royal delicacies etc. Managers make sure those guests are provided with warm impeccable royal heritage hospitality.
Brand managers are responsible for making sure that in house branding is consistent across all outlets, which help in generating revenue for the property.
A marketing manager in the hotel industry is responsible for maximizing a hotel’s revenues. Organizing and oversee advertising, communication campaigns, social media, TV etc, exhibitions and promotional events.
Hypermart or Supermarket Managers are in charge of handling various operational aspects such as managing inventories, recruiting staff, budgeting, enforcing safety policies, ordering products, and analyzing sales performance.
As a jungle resort manager his job includes managing all aspects of a resort, including lodging, food and beverage management, human resources, housekeeping.
